Major League Baseball’s Los Angeles Dodgers’ Shohei Ohtani (30) won the weekly MVP award for the second consecutive week.
Furthermore, we jacked up Tokyo.

On September 30th, Otani finished the regular season and was just waiting for the start of his first playoffs.
On the 1st, the weekly MVP was announced, and Otani was selected for the second consecutive week.

His batting average during the target period was .52 and he also scored 7 RBIs.
This is the 11th time in total that we have won this award, making us the most awarded by any Japanese person.

Additionally, all teams finished the season with double crowns in home runs and RBIs.
This is the second year in a row that he has won the home run title, and he is the first major player to have won the home run title in both leagues in a row.

Furthermore, he became the first Japanese player to win the RBI title.
This historic season is being celebrated in Japan as well, with a whopping 10 wins including those in other categories.

Otani can be seen on the monitor at the scramble intersection in Shibuya, Tokyo.
And there is also an oversized Otani player in Harajuku!

In fact, famous scenes of 54 home runs and 59 stolen bases are being shown for a limited time in various areas of Tokyo.

People in the town who saw the Otani panel said things like, “It’s amazing, after all. It’s cool,” and “The 50-50 home run left an impression on me.”

Looking ahead to the playoffs, Otani said, “(From now on) the results and numbers that we have accumulated during the season will have no meaning.I want to stay motivated and spend the days in between (before the playoffs).” Ta.

The Dodgers’ first game is on the 6th, Japan time.
If the San Diego Padres win, there may be a showdown with Japanese pitchers such as Yu Darvish.
