[December 15, AFP]The 14th Dalai Lama (82), the supreme leader of Tibetan Buddhism, on the 14th launched an app for Apple’s iPhone. You can check out the Dalai Lama’s travels and sermons.
The Dalai Lama, who has previously praised the miracles of new technology, announced the new app to his 16.6 million Twitter followers. The app allows people to watch sermons live, as well as official announcements from the Holy See, as well as videos and photos.
Meanwhile, the app is not available on China’s App Store, meaning it is unavailable to most Tibetans. Apple has previously banned iPhone apps related to Chinese exiles, including the Dalai Lama, from the Chinese App Store. (c)AFP
