Miami, USA – The LIV Golf Invitational, a new men’s golf league sponsored by Saudi Arabia, held its final round of the series on October 30 at the Trump National Doral Golf Club in Miami, Florida, where Dustin Johnson’s team won the tournament and took home the $16 million prize.
Johnson, who reportedly received $150 million in signing with the series, is already the first individual champion, but on top of the prize money he has already won, he now earns an additional $4 million as his share of the team championship.
Between prize money from individual and team competitions throughout the season, plus the $18 million for winning the individual event, Johnson finished his first year in the series with a massive $35 million.
Johnson’s all-American team of Talor Gooch, Patrick Reed and Pat Perez finished with a seven-under par total in the final, one stroke ahead of an Australian team led by British Open champion Cameron Smith.
