[October 8th KOREA WAVE]The “scary friend” brings tension to the laid-back “music world.”

Sagong Iho (No. 402, SAGONG_EE_HO), a mixed-race metaverse band made their debut in June with the song “Wake Up.” These were the words that came to my mind after watching the new group’s debut performance on SBS’s “Inkigayo.”

“Sagongiho” was written by Kim Hyun-seok, a composer who has written hit songs for famous singers such as Sung Si-kyung and Shin Seung-hun. The agency he is in is Kim’s “Special Forces Rather Than Play” agency.

The members are “18-year-old girl” XOONY, main vocalist; “spiritual pillar” OreeR_C, producer and DJ; and “girl group dance addict” Itaewon Park, dancer and drummer.

They are very different from traditional “idols.”

“Sunny” usually appears wearing a hooded sweatshirt instead of a tight outfit, and “Ollie RC” does not have a human face. If I had to pick one thing that resembles it, it would be a duck egg. It also has a pointed beak on its mouth.

Itaewon Park, who has a muscular build, is also a fan of girl group dances.

Naturally, their personalities are different from those of famous Korean virtual humans.

She is not a cute character like Smilegate’s Han Yoo Ah and Korea’s first virtual girl group, Otherworld Idol (Lee Sedol).
