Liverpool ∙ In Liverpool, the home of the Beatles, the rhythm of Kerala’s unique Chendamela sounded. The ‘Vadya Chendamelam Troupe’, formed by a group of art lovers led by a Chenda scholar named Kannan Nair, surprised the people of Liverpool with their debut.

This debut was at Tanima Malayali Association’s Onam celebration held last day. This team reached the arena after months of hard training. The team members are Thomas Kutty George, Sreejith, Joel, Saji Skaria, Roy Mathew, Sajin, Stjin, Abin, Anoop, Krishnalal, Shaun Roy, Aaron Ashick, Shaijo, Ashwavin Swarup Jaimon Thomas.

The instrumental troupe, who have taken Liverpool residents by storm on their debut, have already received several bookings. Vadya troupe played a huge role in popularizing Kerala’s unique art form Chendamela in Liverpool.
