Comedian Kanningu Takeyama appeared on BS Nippon Television’s “Ogiyahagi’s Car History NO CAR, NO LIFE!” (every Saturday at 9:00 pm) on the 7th. Despite being treated rudely by fellow MCs Ogiyahagi, who were also born in 1971, Takeyama looked back on his turbulent life and car history.

[Latest program cut]”It looks cool now,” Ogiyahagi also praises it… The full story of the car that is a memorable one between Takeyama and Nakajima

In fact, Takeyama didn’t get his driver’s license until he was 40 years old, but he says that there was a car that he had a deep attachment to even before that. It was the first-generation Nissan Serena, a pioneer of the minivan boom that continues to this day, and which Ogiyahagi also praised, saying, “It’s simply cool when you look at it now.” It was the favorite car of his partner, Tadayuki Nakajima (35 years old at the time of death), who died of leukemia on December 20, 2006, and is one of the memories for the two of them.

Just when he was driving the Serena, Cheating started to become popular, and when Nakajima fell ill, Takeyama took over and had a junior employee drive him to various locations. When Yahagi Ken said, “Isn’t it a pretty memorable car?” Takeyama replied, “Yes, it’s not an exaggeration to say that this was the first car I ever had, but it’s hard to say because it was my partner’s car (laughs),” and continued, “I feel like it’s selling a bit because I drive it to locations.”

Sitting in the back seat of the car he actually rode in back then, Takeyama reminisced, “This is how it was, because I had never driven before.” He also honestly revealed his anxious feelings at the time, saying, “It was a good time (when I was starting to become popular), but at the same time, my partner was hospitalized, so I wondered what was going to happen.”

In the car, they get excited talking about their memories of that time and Takeyama’s debts.
