Kochi: Canara Bank’s net profit for the second quarter of the current financial year increased by 11.31% to Rs 4014 crore. The bank’s total business grew by 9.42% to Rs 23.59 lakh crore. As of September, deposits of Rs 13.47 lakh crore and loans of Rs 10.11 lakh crore were recorded.
The annual growth in deposits is 9.34 percent and in loans is 9.53 percent respectively. Loans to retail, agriculture and micro and small industries grew by 11.54% year-on-year to Rs -5.76 lakh crore. Net non-performing assets decreased to 0.99 percent from 1.41 percent last year.
