[Tokyo]On the 30th, the Cabinet Office announced that it has decided to grant 159 million yen in research funds to the “GW (Gateway) 2050 PROJECTS,” an initiative to integrally develop Naha Airport and the returned base sites on the west coast of Okinawa’s main island. From the Okinawa-related budget, the government will allocate specific project promotion funds that are directly allocated to municipalities. The local business community and local government strongly requested financial support from the government so that the project could get started quickly.
