It’s similar later in June with Corpus Christi, the public holiday is on Wednesday, June 19th – so you can treat yourself to a long weekend break shortly after Pentecost on June 9th and before the summer holidays. Finally, in August, the long weekend comes naturally – at least if you live in a Catholic commune. The Assumption Day falls on a Friday on August 15th.
Bavaria is a holiday paradise – regionally up to 14 days off in the Free State
Finally, there is a long weekend for German Unity Day, which this time also falls on a Friday on October 3rd. This is followed by a dry spell until Christmas – the only downer is All Saints’ Day on November 1st, which falls on a Saturday next year.
