New York ∙ Staten Island Blessed Kunchachan celebrated the Feast and Parish Day at the Siromalabar Mission. The novena of the Blessed Child and the offering of the rosary were held in the parish in recent days as part of the preparation for the festival.
Thirunal Thirukarmamalak Vicar and Mission Director Fr. Directed by Soju Varghese. Fr. Jacob Kishkepalli Watukkal was the main function.
Fr. Soju Varghese officiated for Novena and Ladeen. Blessed Kunjachan carried the form of Thevaruparampil and performed a circumambulation of the temple accompanied by pearl umbrellas, chendamela and papal flags.

Raising the relic of the Blessed Child, Fr. Jacob East Church priests followed by Prasudentis Thangachan Mathew Karakat family and Shaji Mathew Karakat family performed the pradakshina.

Jason Anthony Linju, Leah, Lima and Eva joined in the singing service at the Mass led by Jaymon. The program of the Parish Day celebration at St. Joseph’s Parish Hall began with the praise of the Blessed Child composed by Fr Roy Kannanchira. Then the art programs were held till nine o’clock at night.

The music and dance programs presented by Sunday school students, parishioners and guest artists were very attractive. Ashley Mathai was the coordinator for the art evening. Roy Muttapalli, Thomas DeCross and Jason Anthony sang the songs. Parish women performed group dance. Excellent art performances by children were also staged.

Detty Darley, Lisha Libin and Leah Joy led the children. Tom Thomas, Alex Joseph, George Mundiani, Appu Darley and Stanley Zakaria led the festivities.
Devasyachan Karakat and Mathai Kariilakuzhiil led the altar service, Minnie Benny and Ashley Mathew led the church decoration and Jeni Joy, Shiju Jose and Jinoy led the Parish Day celebrations. The celebrations concluded with a vote of thanks by Parish Vicar Fr Soju Varghese.
