The tournament is open to third to fifth graders, and 13 leagues from Aomori, Iwate, Fukushima, and Yamagata participated in the Tohoku League Tournament, which began on the 22nd. Yamagata played against Koriyama in Fukushima Prefecture in the first game. At one point, Koriyama was leading 1-6, but in the bottom of the 6th inning, they scored 5 points in one go to tie the score. After that, they allowed 1 point in the top of the 7th inning, and Yamagata, who had no choice but to give up, created a chance in the bottom of the 7th inning with runners on third and second with no outs, but they couldn’t get the last hit and lost 6-7.
