On the 25th, the Shimane Susanoo Magic announced that they had terminated their contract with team star player Perrin Buford by mutual consent.
The team says the move was made in order to respect Buford’s request to “seek new opportunities for challenges as a professional.”
Perrin Buford joined the Shimane Susanoo Magic in the 2020-21 season and contributed to the team’s two championship appearances. He also won the top scorer and regular season best five awards for two consecutive seasons, and achieved a total of 24 triple doubles in the B1 League, making him a central player in the team and leaving a lasting impression in the records.
Following his departure, Buford commented:
“The four seasons I spent in Shimane were wonderful. I was able to make many friends and great memories there. I will miss all my fans! Thank you for all your support!”
