On the 24th, the Shimane Susanoo Magic announced that they had reached a basic agreement on a player contract with Evans Luke, a naturalized player who has also been selected for the Japanese national team.
Luke Evans is a 33-year-old American power forward who is 203 cm tall and weighs 100 kg.
He came to Japan in the 2014-15 season and played for Renova Kagoshima, Tokyo Excellence, etc. In the 2020-21 season, he joined the Shimane Susanoo Magic on a short-term contract when their foreign players were delayed in coming to Japan due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and played in four games. He later acquired Japanese citizenship, played for FE Nagoya for three seasons, and has also been selected for the Japanese national team.
In the 2023-24 season, he played in 38 games, averaging 9.5 points, 7.9 rebounds, 2.1 assists and shooting 32.2% from three-point range.
