KENTUCKY — Several people were shot Saturday near Interstate 75 in rural southeastern Kentucky, authorities said. The Laurel County Sheriff’s Office said an active shooter was behind it and several people were shot near the highway.

London Mayor Randall Weddle said in a video statement that seven people were injured. He said that some of the victims were injured in a car accident.
