The National Counterterrorism Agency (BNPT) also attended the event High-Level Forum on Multi-Stakeholder Partnerships 2024 which was held on 1-3 September 2024 in Bali. In the event that focused on discussing multi-party partnerships to accelerate the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, BNPT as leading The counter-terrorism sector is committed to continuing to create a sense of security in efforts to accelerate SDG’s 2030.
“Of course, all Ministries/Institutions have their own roles in this joint effort, if we focus on how to prevent terrorism, how do we create a sense of security to support the acceleration of sustainable development,” said Head of the Planning, Legal, and Public Relations Bureau, Brigadier General Pol. Tejo Wijanarko, in a written statement received, Wednesday (4/9/2024).
He also explained the relationship between security and development. Where, achievements zero terrorist attacks reflects the security of society which influences the acceleration of development.
“We see that since 2023 until today we have proven zero terrorist attacks, there have been no attacks. The community is safe and peaceful, it will have an impact on strengthening institutions and become the basis for accelerating development,” he explained.
Previously, the Head of BNPT, Commissioner General Mohammed Rycko Amelza Dahniel also attended the same forum in the session Welcoming Dinner High-Level Forum on Multi-Stakeholder Partnerships at the InterContinental Hotel Bali on September 2, 2024, which was opened directly by President Joko Widodo.
For your information, this forum focuses on 3 issues, namely Multi-stakeholder Partnerships for Strengthening South – South Triangular Cooperation, Enhancing Welfare and Sustainability Through Sustainable Economy, Advancing Development Through Innovative Financing. This activity was attended by various stakeholders ranging from Heads of State/Government, International Organizations, Multilateral Development Banks, Civil Society Organizations, to Philanthropic Organizations.
