According to the “World Drug Report 2023” published by the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime, young people are still the group most vulnerable to drug addiction; and according to statistics from the Ministry of Justice, from 2018 to 2022, the recidivism rate of drug users was 31.1 %, long-term use of drugs can lead to brain dysfunction, which can lead to many harmful behavioral problems. A person’s drug use and detoxification not only affect the individual’s physical and mental health, but the social costs derived are even more difficult to estimate.
Zhang Minyi, CEO of the Pinwheel Cultural and Educational Foundation, said that drugs are like boiling frogs in warm water, preventing people from being alert and becoming addicted. Pinwheel has persisted in fighting drugs for Taiwanese children for 12 years, but there are still more than 2,000 schools and millions of students. I have never seen an anti-drug show. Therefore, yesterday, Don Quixote, a spiritual figure who symbolizes persistence in moving forward for the sake of children, was specially added to represent the determination of the paper pinwheel to continue moving forward.
Lin Tengjiao, deputy minister of the Ministry of Education, said that the Ministry of Education has “zero tolerance” when it comes to drugs. Summer vacation is coming. How to teach students to be more alert and protect them from the harm of drugs is very important. Paper Windmill uses drama to promote the anti-drug campaign. The concept of fraud was conveyed to everyone, and he hoped that everyone could refuse the temptation of drugs and pursue a happy and healthy life; Miao Zhuoran, the chief secretary of the Ministry of Legal Affairs, encouraged the students to not only strengthen their anti-drug awareness, but also to become small vanguards in the fight against drugs in the future.
