[Reporter Dong Baiting/Taipei Report]The “Plant Change Hakka Aesthetics Exhibition” organized by the Taipei Hakka Cultural Foundation invited florist Yang Gengquan and Malaysian Hakka animator Liu Jingyi to translate the impression of Hakkas with the themes of “Plants” and “Food” Become a work of art. It will be on display at the Hakka Cultural Center of Taipei City Hakka Culture Theme Park from now until September 20.

Florist Yang Gengquan created four large-scale installations inspired by common Hakka ingredients, including “Tea Fragrance Floating Over Xindian River”, “Wangyuan Mountain”, “Punch a Card to Let You Know”, and “Labor and Movement”. The “change” and “adaptation” of Hakka traditional culture. For thousands of years, the Hakka people have been migrating for survival. In the agricultural era, in the spirit of cherishing blessings and loving things, they dried the abundant crops according to local conditions and processed them into ingredients that were easy to store or carry. The public could smell the fragrant smell of the crops on site. , feel the beauty of plants up close.

Malaysian animator Liu Jingyi uses stop-motion animation to explore the commonalities between women and plants. The exhibition “Plant Animation Collection” brings a visual and auditory feast to the audience. Her work “Taiwan Nature” is based on Taiwanese customs are the theme of the creation, starting from the liquidambar seeds in the mountains, to the Taiwanese red quinoa and five-jointed miscanthus seeds at lower altitudes, and even the crisp and sweet sounds of fresh oysters, clams, and sea melon seeds in the offshore area. Natural products are used as media to reproduce the original appearance of the natural textures of Taiwan’s mountains, landscapes, and seascapes.

In addition, a “Table Culture Small Tour” was held to transform Hakka rural life experience into the highlight of urban light travel, inviting the public to experience flower art displays, natural product media animations and table culture through special meals and children’s toys. The package itinerary, which includes cross talk and Hakka language learning, leads the public to understand the connotation of Hakka culture in a relaxing and fun itinerary.
