Health news: ‘Mohabbat ka Sharbat’ is a very famous sorbet among the youth. In fact, the youth are attracted to this syrup as soon as they hear its name. This syrup is made from kalingad, milk and sugar. Due to the nutrients in Kalingad, Kalingad is beneficial for health in many ways. Kalingad is very useful for maintaining the health of eyes, bones, heart and muscles. Kalingada syrup is considered more effective for this. Among the fruits, Kalingad is the favorite fruit of many. Juicy, red in color and sweet in taste, Kalinga reduces the heat of summer. Kalingad works to control the constant thirst due to heat. But, when we drink its juice instead of Kalingad or when we drink the juice of different fruits, it is important to know its proper method. Amreen Shaikh, Chief Dietitian at Wockhardt Hospital, Mumbai Central has given detailed information in this regard while talking to The Indian Express.
Mixture of milk and Kalingad together is poisonous
According to Ayurveda, the combination of milk and Kalingad is poisonous. It affects our digestive capacity in the long run. Nutritionist Setia has advised sharing a video on Instagram that never combine juicy fruits like Kalingada with milk. Nutritionist Aroshi Aggarwal says, “Eating Kalingad and milk together can cause digestive problems. It is not only the intestines that suffer from it. Digestive problems can also arise.”
What happens when milk is mixed with Kalingada juice?
Priyanka Bandal, senior dietitian at Manipal Hospital, Pune, says, “Mixing milk with kalingada juice can make a creamy drink; But it is not suitable for digestion. Because this mixture may cause stomach problems in some people due to differences in digestion. So it is better to eat only Kalingad instead of drinking juice like Mohabbat Ka Sharbat,” advises senior dietician Priyanka Bandal.
May increase the risk of diabetes
Amreen Shaikh, chief dietician at Wockhardt Hospital, Mumbai Central, says, “Mohabbat Ka Sharbat is high in sugar; which can lead to weight gain and increased risk of diabetes if consumed in excess.”

Amreen Shaikh, chief dietician at Wockhardt Hospital, Mumbai Central, says, “There are a few things to keep in mind before drinking this kind of syrup. Do not drink this syrup daily. So enjoy it occasionally. While drinking syrup, reduce the amount of sugar in it. Thus, don’t add milk or dairy products to fruit syrups,” advises nutritionist Shaikh. However, nutritionist Amreen Shaikh says that those who like Mohabbat Ka Sherbat should consume it in moderation and reduce the amount of sugar in it.
