London – Anil Cherian-Sonia couple, who died in Redditch, will be laid to rest in Redditch itself. Public viewing and cremation will be held on September 14. Burial will be in Redditch Borough Cemetery after public viewing and requiem at Our Lady of Mount Carmel RC Church at 12 noon. Fr. Sabi Mathew will officiate.

Accidental death of Sonia Anil (39) on August 18. Sonia, who returned from the country for a leg surgery, collapsed and died within an hour of reaching home from the airport. Sonia died after collapsing into her husband Anil’s arms. Unable to bear the death of Sonia, who left him and two children alone, Anil committed suicide the next night.

Their deaths left their children Leah and Louis alone. Anil Cherian belongs to the Kottayam Vakathanam Valiyaparampil family. Sonia was a nurse at the Alexandra Hospital in Redditch. After many years of love, the two who were together in life were finally together in death, but two children were left alone. For the time being, the lives of these children will be under the care and protection of relatives and friends.
