Android 14: This is how you activate the Easter egg
The Easter egg in Android 14 is finally a small game again. To activate it, tap the following menu items:
- Opens the Settings.
- Choose “Over the phone“>”Android version” out of.
- Now tap above fast several times on the entry “Android version“. If nothing happens, you were too slow.
- You will now see the Android 14 logo.
- Hold your finger pressed on the logountil the small white pixels, which are supposed to represent stars, get faster and faster.
- Now you see terms like “ at the topSTAR“, “CLASS“, “RADIUS“, “MASS” and “BODIES”, which refer to the current star system in which your “spaceship” is. You can see your “spaceship” in the middle of the screen. At the bottom you can see “POS” and “VEL“, which is your current position and speed indicate.
- Tap your finger on the screen and drag it slightly in a direction to make the spaceship fly in that direction. The further you drag your finger, the larger the radius of the circle shown and thus your speed. The maximum speed is “5000“. A unit is not displayed behind it.
- As soon as you use your finger to control, “THR“ appears. If this “100%“, you can no longer accelerate the spaceship.

Android 14: What is the goal of the Easter egg?
Apparently there is no mission that you can complete with your spaceship like you know from regular spaceship games. We haven’t found any other spacecraft yet either. However, you should head to the coordinates < 0, 0 > with your ship. Then a little variety comes into play. But this is not that easy. Our tip: When you approach the coordinates, reduce your speed significantly, otherwise you will overshoot your target.
Unfortunately, the Easter eggs from Android 13 and 12 weren’t really games, just small interactions:
How long have Easter eggs been around in Android?
This now has a long tradition: Google built the first Easter egg into Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) from 2010. This would probably be an unreasonable expectation for most people by now. Compared to the newer Android versions, the operation is significantly less convenient and simply too outdated.
