Users who want to maintain their family tree have numerous tools available both online and offline. The Ahnenblatt program, which has been in development since 2001, can be briefly described as a comprehensive genealogy record program that allows you to trace your family lineage as far back as the user has information. The tool has a clear user interface that allows you to focus on the actual family tree. This contains as many entries as the user has information and stores detailed data on all family members. In addition, you can even add custom notes and images, in addition to the usual fields such as date of birth, occupation or names of siblings. Based on the data entered, the program automatically links the entries. Once the data maintenance is complete, you can export the project in HTML, XML, GEDCOM and even in Windows Help format.
In addition to the export function, Ahnenblatt also allows the import of data from GEDCOM and even CSV documents.
A notice: The trial version of Ahnenblatt allows you to add a maximum of 50 people to a family tree. All prints and exports are marked with a watermark. The full version currently costs €39.00.
Alternative: If you need a family tree program, you can take a look at Gramps.
Tip: The page MyHeritage which deals with the topic of genealogy has recently introduced a new service that can animate AI-controlled photos that are still photos. The service, called “Deep Nostalgia” As the name suggests, it is intended to breathe new life into old photos.
