[June19KOREAWAVE]A story about a man who wears underwear from 15 years ago and puts used forks in the refrigerator as is, and who had an argument with his wife over hygiene issues, was posted on the anonymous Korean office worker community “Blind” on the 16th. The title was “Am I a little dirtier than average?”
The man claimed, “I take a shower every day in the summer, but in the winter I don’t sweat so I only shower once every two days. The underwear I bought in high school is 15 years old, but it doesn’t have any holes in it, so it’s fine.”
He also explained, “When I eat fruit, I put the fork I used on top of the container before putting it away in the fridge. I don’t need to wash it because I’m going to eat it later.” He also said that he sometimes sleeps on the bed or sofa without washing his body in the shower.
The man confided, “Do we really have to fight and get yelled at every day over something so trivial? Everyone has different standards, but my wife tells me to adjust to hers, and it’s difficult.”
Some internet users have criticized her, saying, “At least throw away your underwear,” and “Take a shower every day,” but some have defended her, saying, “That’s at a normal level,” and “Everything except for your underwear is cleaner than me.”
