Maharashtra Politics: Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister and Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) Chief Ajit Pawar is upset with his own government. He has advised Chief Minister Eknath Shinde to follow the coalition dharma and reminded him that his party is also a partner in his government. Actually, an MoU was to be signed between Toyota Kirloskar and the Maharashtra government for a car manufacturing project, but Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar was not invited to this signing ceremony. This angered Pawar and he called Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and expressed his displeasure.

Pawar asked Chief Minister Shinde to follow coalition dharma and also reminded him that his party NCP is also a part of the Mahayuti government. Not only this, state Industry Minister Uday Samant was also not invited to the ceremony. Samant is also a leader of NCP. The signing ceremony was held at the state guest house Sahyadri located at Malabar Hill. According to the Free Press Journal report, later both Ajit Pawar and Uday Samant reached the venue in person to grace the ceremony.

According to NCP sources, when the ceremony was starting, Ajit Pawar and Uday Samant were reviewing important issues related to the Industry Department. When senior officials of the Industry Department and Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation were not seen in this review meeting, Pawar expressed displeasure over this and asked why these officials did not come? On this, junior officials of the department told that the senior officers have gone to Sahyadri Guest House, where the MoU is to be signed.

On this Ajit Pawar asked Industry Minister Samant that being the departmental minister why did you not go there, then Samant denied knowing about the function or getting the invitation. Ajit Pawar got angry on this and asked to call Chief Minister Shinde from there. After this Ajit Pawar told CM Shinde on the phone that this is a coalition government but neither he nor the Industry Minister was invited to this important program. NCP leaders were kept away from it, whereas NCP is also a partner in the coalition government.

According to sources, CM Shinde expressed surprise at this and assured his deputy CM that the program will continue till both of them reach there. After this, Pawar and Samant left the review meeting and reached Sahyadri. Political analysts believe that this incident highlights the fact that everything is not normal between the allies in the ruling coalition. A few days ago also, there was a competition between the two parties to take credit for the Ladki Behen Yojana.
