Moving from one generation to the next, Apple is about to introduce the biggest software change ever seen in iPhone history. The main difference is that iOS, iPadOS, and macOS all incorporate artificial intelligence (AI).
If what we hear now is true, Apple will introduce six important AI features. The capabilities of the new features will be announced at the ceremony to be held on September 9 at their headquarters where they will introduce the next generation of iPhones and Apple Watch.
Embedding Chatgpity
One of the major changes will be that ChatGPIT, which is considered to be the best AI tool currently available, will be coming to Apple devices. Apple’s plans to develop its own AI didn’t quite pan out, prompting the company to strike a deal with OpenAI, the company behind ChatGPIT.
Apple is also said to be actively considering investing in OpenAI. If this turns out to be true, ChatGPIT will be a constant companion for iPhone users for a long time. The technology world is waiting to see if Google will take the brunt of this. However, the biggest change to the iPhone ecosystem is likely to see iPhone users relying on the new AI assistant for just about anything.
Maybe chatgpity doesn’t work on old iPhone too?
It is almost certain that none of the iPhone 15, 15 Plus, and iPhone 14 Pro series will feature AI features known as Apple Intelligence. This is because older phones don’t have enough hardware power. That is, it is the realm of on-device AI. In other words, the way the processing is done on the device itself.
However, ChatGipity will not work in any way in an on-device AI manner. Its processing will take place in the cloud. So don’t be surprised if most devices that get iOS 18 can run it. If Apple feels that their older generation phones don’t have the ability to run any type of AI features with sufficient privacy, older phones may not get ChatGPIT Search either.
New capabilities for Siri
There’s a joke recently written by a leading technology writer—he uses Siri, Apple’s voice assistant, a lot. But that’s just to run the alarm! Siri is known as one of the worst voice assistants in the world by a major company. However, it is argued that Siri may wake up as it will incorporate advanced natural language processing.
Writing tools
Writing tools will include many features like writing, rewriting, proofreading etc. It is part of Apple Intelligence. This will be available in the iPhone 15 Pro series and the upcoming 16 series. Available on iPads and Macs with at least M1 processors.
Image Playground
It is a tool for customizing different types of images. which never existed before. This is also part of Apple Intelligence.
Genmoji
This is an emoji to represent the user. Created with AI. These can be created using photos of family members and friends. Part of Apple Intelligence.
Clean up tool
A tool to remove unwanted objects from photos. This is also part of Apple AI.
The new generation who do not put down their phones may also be losing the ability to use laptops
I wonder if the online generation (Gen Z born between 1997-2012) is also losing the ability to type on a computer. Until now, the general perception was that they would be the best at using all kinds of electronic devices. Over the past 25 years, the number of people taking typing classes has plummeted, and the number of schools introducing keyboards has also declined, according to a report by The Wall Street Journal.
Meanwhile, in 2019, a study conducted jointly by Aalto University and Cambridge University found that smartphone typing speed is approaching that of computer keyboard typing. The study found that the speed difference is only about 25 percent.
Studying that love is the love of teenagers
Until now, teenage love was generally labeled as puppy love and not taken seriously. But new research has published claims that children take their romance just as seriously, and that it may be the most intense romance of a person’s life.
Oxford psychologist Lucy Foulkes says that breaking up can have a huge emotional impact on children. Adults also understand this and can help children’s mental health.
Will the anti-aging effort succeed?
Is one of the reasons humans age because the DNA of ancient viruses has been carried over into the human genome? This may be one of the causes of aging, said Assistant Professor at Weill Cornell Institute of Medicine. Dr. According to a study conducted by Michael Corley and colleagues.
The study claims that this useless, useless DNA may be behind everything from aging, sleep disturbances, memory changes, and even bipolar disorder. Researchers are now looking to see if new antiviral treatments can reverse this.
