Takachi Tosei (hereinafter, the same)What, am I the only one doing this interview? The director isn’t even there?
–The article is in two parts. First, we have an interview with Kochi alone, followed by an interview with the three of them, including Director Nakamura Sayaka and Producer Tanaka Noriko.
Ah, thank goodness. If I was alone I might have fainted halfway through.

–Why did you faint? (laughs)
There are probably a lot of things like tension. When you’re alone, you tend to talk nonsense.
–It’s been about nine years since you last appeared in a commercial film.
I first worked with Sayaka Nakamura, the director of this film, on the TV drama “Liars are the Beginning of XX,” which was released on the Twitter account of the “Society for Considering Gambling Addiction Problems” in 2021. We are friends who have been thinking together about how difficult addiction is. So, I decided to appear in this film with the hope of raising awareness of it.
-Has it been a while since you last played a role?
But, can I say this? I didn’t act in this movie. I had a role and a setting, but all the lines were ad-libbed. That’s because, in a sense, this movie also has elements of a documentary. So, even though I’ve been acting for almost 30 years, this was the most nerve-wracking thing I’ve ever done. Rather than thinking of it as work, I wanted to leave behind my raw voice, my true words, as they are in the film.
