On the 30th, NHK announced that Nonno Maita and Kimiko Yo will appear in the currently airing TV drama series “Wings of a Tiger.”
Actress Sari Ito plays the heroine Torako Sada in this morning drama, which depicts a story based on the life of Yoshiko Mibuchi, Japan’s first female lawyer who later became a judge. Maita appeared in “Ochoyan” (broadcast in the second half of 2020) and gave a great performance as the heroine’s childhood, but in this work she plays Yumi, the daughter of the protagonist Torako Sada (Sari Ito). She appears when she returns to the Izume family in Noborito with Torako after finishing her life in Niigata, and plays the role of a reliable girl who calmly grasps and thinks about things and expresses her opinions frankly to Torako. Yu plays Yuri, the stepmother of Koichi Hoshi (Masaki Okada), a judge at the Niigata District Court. She is a gentle woman who protects the Hoshi family even after the death of her husband Tomohiko (Mitsuru Hirata), who served as the first Chief Justice of the Supreme Court, and dotes on Koichi’s children.
