Mumbai : Abhay Hadap has been selected as the secretary of the Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA). In the elections held on Tuesday, Haradap defeated his rival Suraj Samat by a margin of 196-141. 337 members exercised their right to vote in this election. After Ajinkya Naik was elected as the president of ‘MCA’, the post of secretary was vacant. Interestingly, since both Hadap and Samat are members of the Executive Council, now once again the trumpet of election will be sounded in ‘MCA’.

“My happiness cannot be expressed in words. I never thought that I would become the secretary of ‘MCA’. Now that I am in this position, I have a lot of things to do for the infrastructure and ground staff. My victory is due to the secretary of Maidan Club and the cricketers. I have a one year period now. This tenure is sufficient for Mumbai cricket and grounds. I will now work hard with President Ajinkya Naik and members of the Executive Council to take Mumbai Cricket to greater heights,” said Hadap.
