LIONROCKET, a startup developing a content synthesis engine that can generate audio and video using only text, announced on the 25th that it will release its live-action animation solution “Deep Live Action” in Japan.
Deep Live Action is a solution that converts animated characters into real human faces and helps to create photo and video content. It has been praised for making the most of the character’s personality, which was previously a limitation of live-action content. The completed content can be used on social media, YouTube, advertisements, and dramas.
Deep Live Action is made up of two technologies. First, it learns image data to understand the characteristics of the character and creates a live-action face. Then, it synthesizes the live-action face with the bandwidth to create video content.
Lion Rocket believes that Deep Live Action will be competitive in the Japanese market, which has a passionate demographic of animation enthusiasts.
Lion Rocket CEO Jeong Seung-hwan emphasized, “There are increasing attempts in the industry to expand intellectual property (IP) into various content formats to maximize consumer experience. Deep Live Action is a service that can bring animated characters to life, and will play a role in expanding user experience.”
