A Palestinian man has spoken out about the situation when Israeli forces drove around a car tied to the bonnet of the man in the West Bank.

This was a video that spread on social media on the 22nd in the West Bank, where Israeli forces were seen driving around with an injured Palestinian man tied to the bonnet of a military vehicle.

According to the Associated Press and other sources, the Israeli military initially identified the man as a suspected extremist, but later said he posed no threat to the military and that the actions seen in the video violated military regulations.

The man said he had received information that troops were approaching the area where he was staying, so he went to see them.

“Soldiers were there and when we tried to go back to our house, violent random attacks started.”

The man was shot in the hands and legs and hid behind a car before being assaulted by soldiers.

“They grabbed me by the hands and feet and threw me onto the front of the vehicle. When they dropped me, it was so hot that I screamed out loud. I was lying on top of the vehicle for 15 to 20 minutes.”

When the military realised the man was not who they were looking for, they called an ambulance.

After viewing the footage, U.S. State Department spokesman Miller said, “This is completely unacceptable behavior. People should never be used as human shields,” and added, “The Israeli military should promptly investigate what happened.”
