[June 10, KOREA WAVE]It has been revealed that the Korean man arrested on suspicion of murdering a woman who was staying with him at a hotel in Hanoi, Vietnam, is a former professional gamer.

According to local media, the former professional gamer (23) went to a hotel in Hanoi with a Korean woman, Mr. A (born in 1991), around 1pm on the 30th of last month.

The former gamer strangled Mr. A to death in a hotel room and then pushed his face into his face with a pillow on the bed. He then ran naked from his room and tried to climb up to the 65th floor of the hotel, but was caught by security guards and arrested on suspicion of murder by local police.

Local media initially reported that the former gamer committed the crime after Mr. A refused to have sex with him. The former gamer is likely to be sent back to South Korea.

The former gamer participated in an international tournament in 2016 when he was an amateur and won. However, he did not develop as much as expected on the professional stage, and although he transferred to an overseas league, he retired without achieving results.
