Punnayurkulam/Kottakkal: A young biker met a tragic end after being hit by a concrete mixer lorry in Puttanathani, Malappuram. Shihab (42), son of the late Kooliyat Moithunni, died near Mandalamkunn Centre. The accident happened near Puttanathani around 8.30 pm on Sunday.

He was going on a bike with his wife Hirunnisa to meet a relative in a private hospital in Kottakkall.

On the service road of the national highway, the oncoming ready mixer rammed the lorry head-on. It is believed that this vehicle is used for the construction work of the national highway. The vehicle which was dragging the bike for a short distance ran over Shihab’s body and died instantly.

Hairunnisa fell on the road due to the impact of the thunder but escaped unharmed. Shihab is an electrician. Fatima is the mother of Shihab. Children: Muslim and Muhsin.

Siblings: Nias and Febina. Including the grave on Monday evening at the Mandalamkunn Juma Masjid graveyard.
