Hanoi: A 65 cm long live eel fish was taken out of the anus of an Indian man who came to the hospital with severe abdominal pain. The incident took place at Viet Duc Hospital in Hanoi, the capital of Vietnam.
A 32-year-old Indian citizen living in Vietnam came to the hospital in critical condition with severe abdominal pain. After X-ray and ultrasound scans, aral fish was found in the stomach. Immediately, the endoscopy team and anesthesiologists tried to extract the fish through colonoscopy but failed.
Meanwhile, a lemon was also found in the intestine of the young man. Finally, a hole was made in the large intestine and the fish was taken out by a colostomy.
The young man inserted a live aral with a length of 65 cm and a circumference of 10 cm through the anus. In an attempt to escape, the eel bit the young man’s rectum and colon. Deputy Director of Colorectal Surgery Dr. Le Nat Hue said.
