Sydney∙ A 12-year-old boy has been jailed for several crimes including armed robbery, assault, property damage, and carrying a knife in public. More than 200 crimes have been charged against the child in 73 cases. Bail has already been granted in 70 of these cases. A 12-year-old boy from western Sydney is accused of a 15-month crime spree in more than a dozen suburbs around Sydney.

Seven News reported that children committed crimes in Mt Druitt in the west of the city, West Pymble on the north coast, Parramatta in the east and Bondi Junction. Vulnerable people become child victims. Police fear the 12-year-old could become one of the state’s most violent young offenders.

While the 12-year-old received bail 70 times from the children’s court, he is accused of violating the bail conditions 136 times. The child is seeking bail at Surry Hills Children’s Court for the charges of armed robbery and car theft. Mother died when the child was 8 years old. The boy met his father only last December.
