Go back in time with the nostalgic space of Hanoi autumn
Dressed in a brilliant color woven from thousands of lanterns of all sizes, the Little Hong Kong subdivision in Ocean City, with the highlight being the Hanoi Mid-Autumn Festival, fully recreates the unique, familiar, and colorful features of Hanoi’s “Hang” streets during the full moon season.
Under the August moonlight, visitors seem to be “lost” in the most famous Hang Ma street in Hanoi with colorful stalls selling star lanterns, carp lanterns, lanterns, masks, lion heads… Wearing traditional ao dai or beautiful outfits, “muses”, groups of friends or the whole family will have a lifetime set of Mid-Autumn photos without having to jostle with the crowds.
The childhood train at Ocean City “station” will take visitors back to their childhood with traditional folk games such as o an quan, skipping rope, playing volleyball…, or experiencing traditional activities such as coloring on Do paper, making lanterns, decorating unique bamboo trays…
In particular, the sweet, enchanting aroma from the autumn food stalls here also promises to create a “grand feast” night under the moon for families and groups of senior friends. The Hanoi Mooncake Festival with a variety of flavors and lovely, eye-catching shapes will surely please any diners, whether they are from the “mixed team”, “mung bean team”, “sticky rice cake team”, or even mooncake lovers who love to explore new, innovative flavors.
Autumn specialties of Hanoi such as fragrant sticky rice, or sweet and sour durian… are also gifts that bring back childhood outings of the 8X and 9X generations.
“Fly” back to childhood with the “Dance in the Air” Kite Festival
If the Mid-Autumn Festival fascinates visitors with the flavors of local delicacies and the “nursery song” of shimmering lights from thousands of lanterns, the “Dance in the Air” Kite Festival at the City of Light Square captivates anyone with the free-spirited dances of the marine world against the Ocean City skyline.
Inspired by the vast blue of the ocean and the sky, the festival is a place where space harmonizes, turning the sky into a giant aquarium, where more than 30 kites will fly together. Every evening on September 6 and 7, visitors can also admire the impressive LED kite performance, or be amazed by the performance of controlling 5 kites at the same time by artist Tran Van Tam at 4:00 p.m. on September 7 – expected to bring a record for the Ocean City kite festival.
In particular, visitors can reminisce about their childhood days with the experience of designing and decorating kites with their own unique style, freely flying their childhood kites or interacting and competing with like-minded groups at the Green Kite Competition.
Not only does it paint a beautiful picture of childhood memories for visitors, the unique experiences only available at the 8WONDER Moon Festival International Autumn Festival will also create memorable memories for everyone.
