Cairo ∙ A childhood dream has won a world record for traveler Magdi Issa. Egyptian Magdi Essa (45) has won a new record by visiting seven wonders of the world in just 6 days, 11 hours and 52 minutes using only public transport. Isa’s achievement was recognized by Guinness World Records.
Jesus’ journey started from the Great Wall of China. Then he visited the Taj Mahal in India and the ancient city of Petra in Jordan. After that, he traveled to the Colosseum in Rome, Christ the Redeemer in Brazil, and Machu Picchu in Peru. Jesus’ tour ended in the ancient Mayan city of Chichen Itza in Mexico.
It took about a year and a half to prepare the plan for the trip. Isa broke the record set by Englishman Jamie Macdonald last year. Jesus faced many challenges during his adventure. After falling asleep, the regular bus to Petra was missed and we had to find another bus instead. He also had to miss his flight from Peru to Mexico. But the journey was made possible with the help of the airline staff.
Issa says that visiting the Seven Wonders was his childhood dream. He also said that this trip is helpful in forgetting some of the pressures in life beyond personal satisfaction. Jesus’ journey is an inspiration to those who want to achieve extraordinary achievements.
